The 10th Annual Foundation of Faith Dinner: Grace Before Meals will be a night to remember. Join us on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at the El Paso Convention Center from 6-9pm, with a cocktail reception beginning at 5pm.

Fr. John Kartje, Rector and President of the University of Saint Mary of the Lake, Mundelein Seminary, announced that seminarians Michael Lewis and Ivan Montelongo had been selected as recipients of a 2016 Monsignor John Canary Theological Enrichment Fund grant.

Founding board member, Leroy Baeza, and his wife Rose, are the 2016 recipients of the Foundation of Faith Dinner’s Annual Dei Gratia Award.

Founding Board Member Rudolph “Rudy” Miles, a stalwart in our community, passed away on June 23, 2016. He and his wife, Elvia, gave generously to the Retired Priest Appreciation Fund, the Seminarian Education Fund, the St. Patrick Cathedral Historic Preservation Fund and Father Yermo Schools.

In 2016, the Foundation is awarding $158,498 in financial aid to 71 Foundation Scholars attending El Paso’s Catholic Schools.

Catholic Extension challenged El Paso to raise $150,000 for the Seminarian Education Endowment Fund with a 1:3 match and donors responded. This challenge brought in over $175,000 in new gifts and Catholic Extension matched your efforts with another $50,000.

Seminarians serenaded the Serra Club during the annual celebration of our future priests. They are a bright group of young men who will lead our diocese in the future.
