As a separate legal entity from the Diocese of El Paso, the Catholic Foundation is not affected by the recent reorganization of the Roman Catholic Diocese of El Paso. We remain committed to our core purpose of raising funds necessary to sustain the parishes, schools, ministries, and charities that continue the teachings of Jesus Christ in our Diocese. All monies raised through the Catholic Foundation are only used for the parishes, programs, services, and ministries for which they are designated. No gifts are used to satisfy legal fees or settlement costs associated with the Roman Catholic Diocese of El Paso’s reorganization.

Now more than ever, we are counting on the community to help us fulfill our mission. Our hearts and prayers remain with the victims and their families.

Foundation Welcomes New Named Fund for Seminarian Education in Memory of Fr. Rick Matty

An anonymous donor established a Named Fund in memory of Fr. Rick Matty† with a gift of $10,000 in honor of his May 6 heavenly birthday. Fr. Matty was a beloved priest who came to El Paso in 1986. He passed away suddenly on July 16, 2012.

Farewell to Br. Nick Gonzalez

Brother Nick Gonzalez, FSC, Principal of Cathedral High School, is leaving El Paso to serve as the new Assistant to the Provincial of the District of San Francisco New Orleans. A farewell gathering is planned for Saturday, June 22 from 4-8pm.
