El Paso Giving Day is on November 14, 2019 and we’re fundraising for UTEP’s Catholic Campus Ministry, led by Franciscan Friar Mario Serrano. Go Miners!

The Centro Mujeres de la Esperanza Fund was created with a gift of $100,000. Established by religious sisters in 1993 and incorporated as a nonprofit organization in 1995, Centro Mujeres de la Esperanza is a community of women dedicated to helping other women.

The Institute was founded by Reverend Monsignor Arturo Bañuelas in 1988. Since then over 20,000 people have participated in formation programs and retreats. Tepeyac’s engaging formation programs, workshops, and retreats are funded by the Progress Annual Appeal and through course fees.

Every year Catholic high school seniors come together to celebrate Mass and kick off the Annual Senior Class Challenge, a tradition started in 2011. The Foundation aims to work with our high school seniors to build community and inspire philanthropy.

The Office of Religious Formation, supported by Progress, serves parishes across throughout the Diocese of El Paso. Their Centro San Juan Diego, Arts, Cultural, and Faith Formation Center for Youth focuses on a holistic catechesis for middle and high schoolers that challenges youth to be protagonists in their faith formation and ministerial service.

The Catholic Foundation honored Yazbik† and Rosalie Daw, a couple whose legacy is being faithful and grateful stewards of God’s grace. Festivities included a VIP event for sponsors, Mass with Bishop Mark & Music by Matt Maher, and a dinner and concert. Proceeds benefit the Foundation whose only purpose is to serve the Catholic Church in the Diocese of El Paso.

Guests of hosts Nora & Ernie Herrera enjoyed an evening of delicious food and drink, live music, and mingling with Catholic award-winning singer songwriter, Matt Maher, all part of the 13th Annual Foundation of Faith Dinner events.

This is the part of the annual dinner when the Foundation raises funds for the ministries, parishes, and school in our diocese. It’s all for a great cause so come prepared and ready to give back. Our “Fund-A-Need” items give EVERYONE an opportunity to bid. Have fun!

Founding board member, Yazbik Daw†, and his wife Rosalie, are the 2019 recipients of the Catholic Foundation’s Dei Gratia Award. The couple will be honored at the 13th Annual Foundation of Faith Dinner on September 19.
