Through the Tepeyac Institute, men and women across our Diocese are discovering more than theology—they are discovering their purpose. The Catholic Foundation for the Diocese of El Paso is excited to announce the official launch of our new stewardship resource, Pray, Serve, Give: A Disciple’s Guide to Parish Stewardship, a comprehensive manual designed to help parishes grow in faith, strengthen community, and deepen the understanding of stewardship as a way of life.

The Catholic Foundation is thrilled to share that Wednesday, March 25, Father Alexander “Askee” Gutierrez was ordained to the priesthood at St. Patrick Cathedral. At the Catholic Foundation, we are so excited and blessed to celebrate his transition into the priesthood – such a significant moment in a life marked by joy, love, and service!

As we continue through this sacred season of Lent, we look to St. Joseph as a powerful example of faith, humility, and quiet strength. St. Joseph did not seek recognition or praise. Instead, he responded to God’s call with trust, courage, and a generous heart.

This Lent, the Catholic Foundation invites you to recognize your own spiritual thirst—whether is for love, peace, healing, consolation, or for a deeper communion with God and with one another. To aid in reflection, you are invited to download the Pray, Serve, and Give Lenten sheet as a companion for your Lenten journey this year. This resource is designed to help you reflect on how you can grow closer to God during the forty days that recall Jesus’ time in the desert—a season of prayer, fasting, and preparation that led His heart toward His Passion, Death, and Resurrection.

On February 11, the Catholic Foundation joyfully paused from the busyness of daily ministry to celebrate the incredible men who so faithfully serve our communities at our Annual Clergy Appreciation Luncheon. It was a beautiful and grace-filled day dedicated to honoring our priests and clergy for the countless ways they guide, shepherd, and care for us.
