The Fighting Irish finished in first place at the TAPPS Division I state meet. The victory marks the 33rd state title for Cathedral in the sport of swimming, and the second state title win for Cathedral head coach Calvin Zielsdorf, Class of ‘01.

The fund was created by an anonymous donor to help relieve the burdens of expectant parents and provide support for Pro-Life initiatives.

Catholic Foundation Scholars were treated to something special by mail during Catholic Schools Week in honor of the 9th Annual Catholic Foundation Scholars Prayer Breakfast. Schools have worked hard to keep students, therefore, the decision was made not to host an in-person gathering.

The Catholic Foundation brought Catholic high school seniors together for the 10th Annual Senior Class Mass, hosted by Father Yermo on Thursday, January 27. Most Reverend Mark J. Seitz, D.D., Bishop of El Paso, was the main celebrant.

Fr. Cong Vo celebrated a special Mass at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini to commemorate Tết, the Vietnamese Lunar New Year, which celebrates the arrival of the New Year.

The Catholic Foundation will offer a free virtual event on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 from 7-8pm featuring a presentation by Dr. Timothy O’Malley called “The Presence of Love: We Are Meant to be Present to the Lord and to One Another.”

Rev. Richard A. “Rick” Matty† will be honored posthumously at the 16th Annual Foundation of Faith Event: Building the Kingdom on September 22, 2022.

An anonymous donor created the Named Funds as a legacy for their children and grandchildren. The permanent endowed funds will provide support in perpetuity.
