As a separate legal entity from the Diocese of El Paso, the Catholic Foundation is not affected by the recent reorganization of the Roman Catholic Diocese of El Paso. We remain committed to our core purpose of raising funds necessary to sustain the parishes, schools, ministries, and charities that continue the teachings of Jesus Christ in our Diocese. All monies raised through the Catholic Foundation are only used for the parishes, programs, services, and ministries for which they are designated. No gifts are used to satisfy legal fees or settlement costs associated with the Roman Catholic Diocese of El Paso’s reorganization.

Now more than ever, we are counting on the community to help us fulfill that mission. Our hearts and prayers remain with the victims and their families.

Catholic Ministry Appeal : Communication Ministry - Uniting All in Christ

Continuously connecting our Catholic community of faith, the Communications Ministry manages the church’s public messaging and image and promotes communication of events and programs throughout the Diocese of El Paso. The Communication Ministry reaches far beyond one’s perception. The work of the Communications Ministry can be seen in press releases and newspaper advertising, Facebook events, and updates concerning ministries, website pages, podcasts, and the Rio Grande Catholic that continuously reflects on the story of our Faith.

We recall the Apostle Paul’s words, “ __As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”__ __–Romans 10:15 _. _

The Communication Ministry is called the ‘beautiful hands and feet” to put on the Full Armor of God as they help evangelize, sharing the story of God’s love through Christ who lives in us and loves us so profoundly.

Taking an in-depth look into the Communication Ministry, this ministry provides an abundance of evangelization through TV Masses, media and public relations, maintenance of social media sites for parishes, and the communications office. From Bishop Mark’s podcast to care of the Diocesan webpage, publishing the Rio Grande Catholic, and attending Clergy meetings to ensure the Ministry always has a wide-angled lens concerning any activities or events within the Diocese of El Paso.

In addition, this substantial Ministry is contacted every time our Diocese needs to communicate with parish communities about community needs and paths to lovingly advance the journey of spreading the Good News of following Jesus Christ and continuously connecting our Catholic community of faith.

The vital work of our Communication Ministry is made possible by the Progress: Catholic Ministry Appeal and your continued sacrificial generosity and support. We invite you to participate in the Progress: Catholic Ministry Appeal both through a commitment to prayer and a Progress: Catholic Ministry Appeal gift. Visit www.2022progress.org today!
