As a separate legal entity from the Diocese of El Paso, the Catholic Foundation is not affected by the recent reorganization of the Roman Catholic Diocese of El Paso. We remain committed to our core purpose of raising funds necessary to sustain the parishes, schools, ministries, and charities that continue the teachings of Jesus Christ in our Diocese. All monies raised through the Catholic Foundation are only used for the parishes, programs, services, and ministries for which they are designated. No gifts are used to satisfy legal fees or settlement costs associated with the Roman Catholic Diocese of El Paso’s reorganization.

Now more than ever, we are counting on the community to help us fulfill that mission. Our hearts and prayers remain with the victims and their families.

A Beautiful Day of Gratitude for Our Shepherds—the Annual Clergy Appreciation Luncheon

On February 11, the Catholic Foundation joyfully paused from the busyness of daily ministry to celebrate the incredible men who so faithfully serve our communities at our Annual Clergy Appreciation Luncheon. It was a beautiful and grace-filled day dedicated to honoring our priests and clergy for the countless ways they guide, shepherd, and care for us.

Our clergy walk with us through every season of life—celebrating our joys, comforting us in our sorrows, and leading us closer to Christ through the sacraments. Over time, they become more than spiritual leaders; they truly become part of our families. Their presence in our lives is a blessing that words can hardly express.

This special gathering was simply our way of saying “thank you so much.” “Thank you for the love you pour into our parishes, for the sacrifices you make daily, and for the faithful witness you give to Christ.” The room was filled with gratitude, laughter, fellowship, and heartfelt appreciation for the beautiful vocation each of them lives so generously.

As we reflect on this beautiful day of gratitude, we invite you to pause for a moment and ask yourself: “have you thanked your clergy today?” A simple word of appreciation, a prayer, or a kind note can mean more than we realize.

We are deeply grateful for our clergy and the extraordinary gift they are to our diocese. Please join us in continuing to pray for them—that the Good Lord may strengthen them, bless them abundantly, and fill their hearts with the same love they so freely share with all of us.

With grateful hearts, we celebrate and thank our shepherds for their faithful service,
